What I've Been Reading
F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Offshore Pirate" from his collection Flappers and Philosophers grasped my attention like a sneaky hypnotist's wand. The sunshine of the Gulf of Mexico, the lapping of the waves against the side of the sailboat, the cocky charm of it's self-proclaimed flapper protagonist immediately sucked me in. But once Fitzgerald threw in a swashbuckling pirate I was done for. Which goes to show the moral of the story does not miss its mark. Deep down, all girls want a bit of bad boy in their lives.
